Anna Olson Baking Cookbook
Just wrapped up production on a new baking cookbook with Anna Olson. This will be our third time collaborating. We had a great time shooting at her house in Welland. We were also lucky enough to sample almost all of the recipes we shot and they are as delicious as they look! Very much looking forward to seeing the finished book on the shelves this coming fall. The crew: Matt 'Beef Lightning' Gibson, Me, Madeleine Johari, Lisa Rollo & Anna Olson.

Gallery Show Announcement
We are excited about what’s ahead for the next few months. In May, I’ll be having my first solo exhibit at sleeping giant gallery during the Scotiabank Contact 2011 Photography Festival. We’re really looking forward to seeing that all come together! http://www.sleepinggiantgallery.com/contact.html

Portrait Series
We’re working on an ongoing Unique Face portrait series ryanszulc@groups.facebook.com. We are looking for anyone who has an interesting face, unique features and unconventional look. If you or anyone you know are interested, please get in touch and we can give you more details!

Montreal Cheddar
We went on location in Montréal to shoot an upcoming campaign for Armstrong Cheddar. It was great working with our team in Montréal! Who knew you could do so much with cheese? :)

Toronto Life Top Ten New Restaurants
We’ve had some exciting projects so far in 2011. We got the chance to shoot the Top 10 New Restaurants spread for Toronto Life, which was a lot of fun. That was the first time we wrapped a shoot with a snowball fight!

Applied Arts Photo Annual
Every year, Applied Arts Magazine recognizes the achievements of Photographers, Illustrators and Designers. I’m proud to be amongst the winners in the upcoming 2011 issue. http://www.appliedartsmag.com/blog/?p=4430&utm_source=AA+Extra&utm_campaign=90dc46c202-Issue_27&utm_medium=email

Red Balloon Gallery
I was also one of 10 photographers selected to shoot portraits of a family for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Red Balloon Gallery event Forever Families http://www.redballoongallery.ca/. The event helped to raise awareness on the urgent need of thousands of children waiting to be adopted in Canada. We had the chance to work with a wonderful family and were very happy to be a part of this special evening.

Drawn to Develop
I was also fortunate enough to be a part of 2 wonderful fundraising events in Toronto. Drawn to Develop http://www.drawntodevelop.com/wordpress/ is an evening where original photographs created by Canadian photographers are auctioned off in an effort to raise funds for Street Kids International. I was very honoured to receive the highest bid of the evening! I’m really looking forward to participating in the event in 2011.

Banff
The end of another year prompts you to look back and reflect on the things that made it so memorable. I had the chance to spend some time in Banff & Jasper National Parks this summer to shoot some of the incredible landscape out there. I’ll be showing a few of these images at my upcoming solo show during the Contact 2011 Photography festival.
